It started out promising
Then it got awkward. And long. It was definitely an attempt at the Argento thing – especially with the music.
Oh, a daughter
And with a daughter. Wow, she’s an actress beyond her years, that’s for sure. I think her out-of-place maturity plays into the plot’s resolution.
So much of the movie is silly and messy
But there’s no indication why her face becomes a fully formed American English accent. But she’s going to be a dramatic force, transcending Asia in such bits. And the weird epilogue meant something like a sequel and a genre changer, I imagine.
